Mental health is how you think, feel, and act as you deal with everyday life. Your mental health can also predict how you will handle stress, major life changes, and your choices in life. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health and can affect you from childhood through adulthood.
It is normal to feel worried, anxious, sad, or stressed, but when these feelings do not go away and interfere with your daily life, it could be a sign that you are suffering from a mental health disorder.
Mental health disorders affect about one in four adults in the United States and are often treatable, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
