The Early Recovery group is designed to meet the needs of those with little history of treatment for substance abuse issues. It is an ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) Level I treatment. Individuals will learn about substance abuse problems and analyze his/her behavior and situations regarding abuse of substances. This group lasts 16 weeks. Individuals will examine their barriers and strengths for recovery and develop plans and goals for healthy living.
Criteria
An individual must have a drug and alcohol evaluation and be recommended to this group. Individuals will have a substance abuse diagnosis.
